Junior Girls’ Championship
July 4 - July 7
The BC Junior Girls’ Championship is open to female players 18 years of age and younger August 1st. The competition is 72 hole stroke play, with a cut after 54 holes. Cut line will be determined by field size. Maximum handicap factor 22.0.
Zone Team Gross – 2 person teams selected by each zone in advance of the competition. Scoring is based on players combined 2 day scores on day one and day two.
Best-Ball Competition: Players may make up their own 2-person teams from the field. This championship is a best ball conducted over 72 holes. The top 5 teams from the first 54 holes will be confirmed into the draw, regardless as to whether the players in the cut field or not.
Players who made the cut in the prior year’s championship and players with a verifiable handicap factor of 14.0 or less will be automatically accepted into the championship upon receipt of entry up until 1 month prior to the start date of the event. After that date all other entries will be reviewed and accepted into the championship based on lowest handicap factor. Maximum handicap factor 22.0. Positions for players representing their Zones will be held for an additional 2 weeks.
TEAM TO NATIONALS:
Players to represent British Columbia at the 2016 Canadian Junior Girls Championship may be selected, in part, based on performance in this Championship.
MANDATORY PLAYERS’ MEETING / PRACTICE ROUND:
The mandatory players’ meeting will be conducted BEFORE the practice round on July 3. Failure to attend this meeting may result in the withdrawal of your entry to this championship and may result in suspension of your entry into future championships.
